The truth about working with Plaut – our first ever Graduate Trainee

Sasha Fairbrother recently joined Plaut as our first ever Graduate Trainee!  Here are her first impressions:

Q: What made you apply for a role with Plaut?

In the advertisement, Plaut’s culture was described as fast-paced and fun. From that description, I could see that this was definitely a place I wanted to work .

Q: What made you decide to come work with Plaut?

From my interviews, Plaut seemed like an organisation which aimed, and furthermore delivered, opportunities for growth to its employees. As a soon-to-be graduate, this appealed to me significantly. I also could immediately see that my manager had a fun personality and well-organised work ethic which I imagined myself fitting into perfectly.

Q: What are you first impressions after your first couple of weeks?

There is a great degree of flexibility which is well appreciated by its employees and allows them to deliver their work while also maintaining a healthy life-style.  A few people go on runs on their lunch break which I admire greatly but as yet, cannot see myself committing to due to a preoccupation with food at lunch time!

Three things that I learned in my first week are….

  1. Assistance is always there if you ask for it.
  2. Creating connections are of the utmost importance in resourcing.
  3. 3pm is scheduled as my daily mental battle due to someone always going around the office offering chocolate or doughnuts.

My first holiday from Plaut will be …

Hopefully I can go back to Europe, I don’t feel finished with Amsterdam and Greece as yet.

When I ‘grow up’, I will be…

Hopefully happy, very successful in an aspect of HR and have the home capacity to finally own a dog.

Thanks for choosing Plaut Sasha.
