A SAP module or tool provides good general functions, applicable across a wide range of situations and industries. Often, however, functions need to be customised or enhanced for specific company needs.

Plaut will write the programming code for extra functions not available in the SAP module.

Typical developments are in reporting, interfaces (see Integration), forms and enhancements.

Reporting

Standard SAP applications come with pre-set reports. But companies usually need to add their own customised reports. If you have BW installed, we can develop the reports you need with the tools it provides. If not, we will write code for the reports you require in ABAP (the main SAP programming language).

Forms

Printed forms and documents, such as invoices, sales notes, picking lists and so on, tend to require customisation to individual company needs. There are a range of technologies we can use to develop forms for you, including SAPscript, SAP Smartforms and ADOBE pdf forms.

Enhancements

Enhancements can customise the way data is processed and the way users access the data. You may, for example, have specific information requirements that need fields not standard in SAP. We can make these enhancements for you by writing the code direct or using business add ins (BADIs).

SAP programming language

SAP is mostly written in the programming language ABAP. Later releases of SAP offer the option to develop changes in JavaScript. Plaut is skilled in both languages.
